Breast care

We take care of woman’s breast

Mastalgia

Hormones constantly induce breast modifications during several physiological conditions such as menstrual cycle, pregnancy, breastfeeding and menopause.

Mastalgia refers to breast pain and it is the first cause of women visiting doctors since pain and discomfort are enough to interfere with sexual activities, physical exercise, work, school and social activities, sleep thus worsening patient’s quality of life.

2-3 days of mild pain is common during menstrual cycle but 8-30% of women report moderate to sever pain with a duration of 5 or more days.

Benign Breast Diseases

Sometimes altered hormonal balance, inflammatory and metabolic processes can cause breast alterations

Breast Benign Diseases are an heterogeneous group of breast lesions, often related to a specific symptomatology, representing about 60% of all breast diseases whose fibroadenomas and fibrocystic mastopathy are the most commons.

There is no standardized therapeutic approach since it is often limited to pain relief.
